Any business or organization, large or small, can join Valley EFAP. The cost for membership is dependent per FTE (Full-time equivalent). Two part-time employees would equal one full-time equivalent. This fee covers employees and their dependent family members. Retirees and their dependent family members are covered at no additional cost. Other services provided by Valley EFAP are also covered by the membership fee.

It's A Fact
A National Institute of Mental Health report indicated that one out of three suffers from a mental, emotional or substance abuse problem in their lives.

Valley EFAP About
Valley EFAP, an “Employee & Family Assistance Program”, is a non-profit organization that has been providing quality counselling services to our member organizations, their employees, retirees,  and their dependent family members since 1993.

We are an active member of Insight EFAP International. We are administered and supported by local employers, unions and employee groups.

Valley EFAP is a unique community-based partnership of over 20 local employers and their employees.
Our model (EFAP/ARS) has five distinct and essential characteristics that set us apart from other models of employee assistance programs.
  • We are a non-profit society, owned and operated at the community level by those we serve.
  • There are no limits on the number of sessions per employee or family member.
  • We provide a broad range of intervention, prevention and wellness services.
  • We are an affordable pro-active, prevention focused employee benefit program.
  • We provide services to all employees, retirees and their dependent family members.

We believe that no problem, concern or issue is too small to receive our full attention. Our experience has shown us that the earlier an individual is encouraged to discuss their concerns, the more likely they are to resolve them. By working together towards the common goal of wellness we will have a positive outcome for the individuals, families, organizations and communities.

Our objectives are to provide assistance to employees (active and retired) and their families in dealing with personal or interpersonal issues which may affect the quality of their home or work lives, and create an environment that fosters prevention and/or early intervention, and to reinforce healthy lifestyles.
